twood_hub*~I'm Captain Jack Harkness, the leader of the erstwhile Torchwood Three crew. I get to make the big decisions and dole out the work, but sometimes those decisions are tough, and I do my fair share. It's not all running around, shooting guns and using cool alien toys, either. There's plenty of paperpushing to do, too, and I have to make sure it gets done.
When I'm not doing work ... Well, that's not that often, I'm a bit of a workaholic. But when it does, I like to sit down, pour myself a good scotch, listen to some Benny Goodman or Glenn Miller, maybe read a good book. I also like going out with my team to their favorite pub, downing a few pints and just generally hanging out. I like getting to know them, what their lives are like. Feel the pulse of the world. So forth.
I took ... a vacation, just for a few months (or at least, that's what it turned out to be), a little while ago. But I'm back. I'm here, and I'm not going anywhere else for a while. It's too exciting, the beginning of the 21st Century. After all, it's when everything changes. And you've got to be ready. I'm here to help make sure that happens.
